Do you believe in licking the bowl? The way I see it, that leftover good stuff is going to go to waste if you don’t take care of it. Shouldn’t life be about making the best of every moment? That means taking advantage of every last drop of deliciousness.
Not everyone is the same though. Some people are sneaky about licking the bowl. They think it’s shameful, so they do it secretively, savoring every bit in solitude, but acting like criminals if caught in the act. Others choose not to lick the bowl at all. Those are people I just can’t relate to.
Me, I lick the bowl proudly. When I make something amazing, I’m not going to waste a drop of it. I have always been and always will be someone that makes the most of everything, and that includes creations like this Whipped Chocolate Peanut Butter Graham Trifle. I’m happy to share its magic, but I certainly won’t throw away what’s left in the bowl.
Now that’s criminal.
I love anything cool and no-bake in the summer, which is exactly what this luscious layered beauty is. I made it quickly at the end of my night with the hopes of still getting into bed nice and early, and because this was so quick and easy, I was successful. There’s nothing better than tucking a perfect dessert into the fridge before heading off to tuck yourself in.
Sweet dreams. May you dream of licking the bowl.
A Few Tips Before You Get Cooking:
- Be careful not to overwhip the filling, or it winds up grainy. You want it fluffy and thick.
- The longer you can let this chill, the better it will be. The flavors really come together, and the graham crackers soften.
- You can’t go wrong with a little bit of whipped cream on the top.
- Serve this in individual parfait glasses for personal desserts.
