Sundays are always my favorite posts since I get to share The Weekender with you guys, which allows me to give you a whole smorgasbord of stuff you don’t normally see during the week. Today, we’ll talk about the bridal shower I went to last weekend, my fitness life, and more.
But before we jump into all that, let’s get fueled up on the delicious line-up from this week’s posts.
1. Key Lime Pie Rice Krispie Treats
2. The Trick to Creamy Hummus and the Truth About it
4. Double Cheese Bundles with Good Greens Pesto
Last week, I brought more than 120 of my crowd favorite Caprese Bites to a bridal shower for my good friend. I’ve never seen so many Caprese Bites in one place, but what a beautiful site! They went fast.
Even though I’m not often crafty, I broke out that creative side of me for the shower gift. She had a tea party theme, so I found this cute teapot to stick a glowing flameless candle in with flowers and a gift certificate to my gym, where she takes classes. It was perfect!
I used the extra mozzarella from my Caprese Bites to make this cheesetastic recipe that you’ll be seeing next week. See sneak peeks like this one and more on my Instagram!
This week, I also got hair color as fresh as that mozzarella. Okay, weird analogy, but you get the point. I’m now a chocolate-covered strawberry.
The problem with fresh hair color is that, if you workout before washing it the first time, it bleeds. Well, with teaching this week right after my hair appointment, let’s just say I stained a few sweat towels.
If you’re a local Utican, you should come try one of my classes at Powerhouse Gym Utica! I teach Les Mills BODYSTEP every Thursday at 5:30 p.m. for 55 minutes, and every Saturday at 9 a.m. for 45 minutes. We’ve got a plethora of other amazing Les Mills group fitness classes too.
I like to tell myself that all that teaching makes up for National Donut Day last Friday. I got my favorite strawberry frosted.
