As spring continues to settle in and summer waits in the wings, I feel life picking up pace even more so than ever. There is a lot going on right now, to the point where I have to remind myself to build in time for myself every now and then. It’s crucial to getting by.
But before we talk about how I walked off the worries of the week, let’s review all the good stuff we got to eat.
1. Toasted Ravioli and Squash Stacks
3. Roasted Squash & Black Bean Hummus
My recent recipes have been reflective of the seasonal flavors, and I’ve got something perfect for summertime coming next week. Can you guess what it is from the picture?
If you’re wondering, I don’t cook every single night. Sometimes, I let the delivery guy take care of dinner. Has anyone tried the Hut Favorite Crust from Pizza Hut? It’s like garlic bread and pizza in one!
Of course, I’ve got to work all this food off, so I’ve been hitting the gym hard. I have a love-hate relationship with weight-training, but I stick with it because my significant other teaches a weight-training class called Les Mills BODYPUMP. It’s full-body, high reps, and low weights – and it’s killer.
Let us not forget, I’ve got my class, BODYSTEP, to teach too. We bid farewell to a fellow instructor this week, who is going on the further her education and career. It was bittersweet.
Then to switch it up, Ryan and I made the best of the nice weather and trekked over to Hamilton College’s Root Glen Gardens for a lovely walk that turned out longer than expected.
As we traveled farther into the wild Glen, we got ourselves a bit disoriented and struggled to find our way back. But we wound up getting great exercise out of it, so that’s a win.
Now allow me to leave you with your weekly dose of cute.
