Did you know Saturday was International Cat Day? I love any excuse to celebrate my adorable fur babies, so I made sure to spoil them twice as much. That’s my job.
I have a lot of jobs, come to think of it: my day job, my evening job at the gym, and let’s not forget: The Smart Cookie Cook. The best part of our weekly Weekender posts is that you get a little taste of all the facets of Colleen.
But let’s start with what you really care about: the food. Just in case you missed anything this week, let’s take a moment and review:
2. Salted Caramel Brownie Ice Cream
3. Celebrating 4 Years of The Smart Cookie Cook
4. 13 Zucchini Recipes to Make Before Summer Ends
We commemorated a momentous milestone on Tuesday with my 4-year blogiversary. It’s hard to believe I’ve been blogging for so long, but then again, I can’t remember what life was like before blogging. Take a look at the celebratory post and walk down memory lane with me for some of the best moments from these four years.
I have to say, it’s a good thing I found a love for fitness around the same time that I found a love for food because who knows how else I’d balance out all this eating. I had my date night with Ryan on Saturday, but the fact that I taught Les Mills BODYSTEP Athletic that morning made me feel a little less guilty. I’m in love with the new Les Mills tank from Reebok. It fits perfect!
We went to one of our frequent spots, Carmella’s Cafe in New Hartford, to capitalize on their 2-for-1 appetizers after 8 p.m. I get the same thing every time I go: cheese fries and onion rings. Their cheese fries are my favorite in the area because they use cheese sauce AND shredded cheese.
And dang, those onion rings have some surface area! This one is more of a boomerang than a ring.
I mentioned International Cat Day already, so you know I had to take a couple Instagram shots of my gorgeous babies.
How did I get so lucky?
